They work well for tenants who don't use a phone, commercial users who prefer single-tap entry with gloved hands, and sites with existing fob infrastructure still serving their tenants. The operational trade-off is that fobs have to be physically handled — issued at move-in, replaced when lost, collected at move-out — which is why most new Bearbox sites pair them with digital methods like the app and QR codes that skip the physical step.
